Inaugural Vesak Day Celebration

Together with the Wagga Aus-Sri Lankan Cultural Association (WASCA), Potowa Buddhist Group co-organises this inaugural celebration in Wagga Wagga and offer it to the public.

All are welcome! You can choose to take part in making offerings to the Buddha, witness how Buddhists from various countries celebrate Vesak Day, join in to sing some uplifting Buddhist songs, enjoy some beautifully hand-made lanterns, enjoy some good food and meet lovely people!

Date: 27 May 2018

Time: 5pm to 7.30pm

Venue: Senior Citizens' Community Hall, and then proceed to Civic Theatre Precinct

There will be a Vesak Day message delivered by Venerable Devarakkhitha Thero from Melbourne with opportunities for Q&A afterwards. You are welcome to bring some fresh flowers for offerings to the Buddha.

Free event, free food and contagious joy and happiness around - beware! This event is proudly sponsored by Multicultural Council Wagga Wagga.
